What is Biyaya Child Development Centre?
We are a Christ-centred church project established in 2019 under St. Luke Church of Uganda, Adjumani, focused on holistic child transformation.
Where is the centre located?
Our offices and project facilities are physically located in Biyaya Village, Biyaya Parish, Adjumani Town Council.
Who is eligible to become a beneficiary?
We support vulnerable children aged 3 to 17 years, with preference to ages 3–9, who reside within a 3 km radius of the Centre and are orphans, chronically ill, or completely lacking relative support.
What are your primary core project activities?
We provide educational support through individual sponsorships, health campaigns, life-skills education, economic empowerment for guardians, and moral or spiritual development.
Who manages the project funds?
Funds are managed by our executive committee, requiring signatures from the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, with strict oversight and cheque-booklet control managed by the Overseer / Parish Priest.
How do you guarantee financial integrity?
Our accounts undergo internal auditing by our committee and mandatory external auditing by the Madi and West Nile Diocese annually.
How will I know my donation was received?
You'll receive an instant on-screen and emailed receipt with a unique Receipt ID, itemised amount, designated activity and our financial custody declaration — plus a downloadable signed PDF copy.
Can I choose what my gift supports?
Yes. On the donation form you can designate your gift toward Educational Sponsorship, Health Campaigns, Moral & Spiritual Development, or Economic Empowerment of Caregivers.
Can I contact a sponsored child directly?
No. To safeguard children, direct communication with any beneficiary is only possible with the explicit, formal permission of our executive committee. See our Child Protection Policy.
